The Julia opened in December 2018 and is Solhem’s first foray into Northeast Minneapolis. (A second Northeast property will be opening in Spring 2020.) Seen here, The Julia’s kitchens retain the sleek new design rolled out in mid-2018.

The open layout floor plans at The Julia include the Plan E (pictured), which features a built-in quartz desk, private balcony, massive walk-in closet, and plenty of kitchen storage. At 521 square feet, this micro one bedroom unit offers everything you need — and nothing you don’t.

In keeping with the spirit of Northeast Minneapolis, we included a custom built shuffleboard table in the resident pub. The pub space also includes a tap line for special occasion local beer kegs, plenty of high top seating, and an 82 inch HDTV (with all cable & sports packages included).

The Julia is full of art & sculpture. Here, a custom painted “wallpaper” (courtesy of the talented team at She She) tells the story of the building’s namesake: Julia. A spirited, worldly woman, Julia’s adventures into the wild west inspired much of the design in our common area spaces.

In-unit views from The Julia include this shot of the historic Grain Belt Brewery on Marshall. From the rooftop, however, a truly panoramic observatory emerges: downtown, the Mississippi River, U.S. Bank Stadium, the old breweries, and even the original General Mills mill are all within sight.
